Healthy Habits

Our 8-week program will move you toward your health and lifestyle goals through an approach that uses stress, resilience, and integrating mind and body as tools to move toward health in all the other areas. 

That's why we’ve built an 8 week program that is centered on stress, resilience, and integrating mind and body to guide you along your path to health.

When you walk through our door, we'll ask you to walk us through a day in your life.

 
We’ll talk about how you sleep. How you feel when you get out of bed. What’s for breakfast. What do you do all day? We want to hear everything - the mundane tasks, the family interactions, work, hobbies, favorite TV shows and books, all of it!  And that paints a picture for us so we can categorize each activity, and then view it all through a lens of lifestyle medicine.

Lifestyle medicine has six pillars: sleep, physical activity, nutrition, stress, social connectedness, and habits/substances (which we broaden into anything that can be used to numb ourselves, whether it's smoking, binge eating, or social media scrolling).  

They’re deeply intertwined, but we view stress at the center of the circle with the other 5 pillars in a constant exchange around the way we handle stress.

What to expect when you join:

  • Mind Body Health Assessment

  • Goal-setting, tracking, and a personalized road map to health and wellness

  • 8 weeks of resilience-building practice, leading to a toolbox with 24 techniques to practice resilience

  • Communication and guidance from us to stay on track

  • Access to a community for support, encouragement, and accountability

  • Follow-up assessment to evaluate results

  • VIP option includes weekly one-on-one calls

Building Resilience

Each of the 8 sessions is will have interactive group activities that will teach the three components of resilience:​

Eliciting the
Relaxation Response


Each session will teach a different technique to elicit the RR, which reverses our physiological stress response.

Stress
Awareness


Each session will contain exercises designed to explore how stress affects us mentally and physically.

Adaptive
Strategies


With a new foundation of stress awareness, we learn strategies to respond to potentially stressful situations. These can be methods of coping with an immediate stressor at the moment, as well as ways of improving our baseline coping skills so we are prepared in advance in the event of a stressor.
